On the way to Israel , I had an amazing 13 hours in Amsterdam.Can’t believe I was able to skip it for so many years (unintentionally).

Pre-book my train tickets, at https://amsterdam.ticketbar.eu/en/home/, 16 euro round trip to Amsterdam central station , about 20 minutes each way.

upon arrival I headed to the only planned place in Amsterdam , Anna Frank house.I had to purchase the tickets 2 months in advance , a truly must visit !!!.

A tour in the house, with free audio device tells the story of Anna and her family , how they were able to hide for 2 years in the rear part of the house until ….

A canal tour was my next purchase , a 20 Euro bought me all day hop on hop off ,a great way to see the city, but I actually spent most of my day on foot then in the boat so decide for your self if really needed .

Few highlight of my day :

Rijksmuseum area – just fun the spent the time there, if you have more time Van Gogh Museum is right there.

Amsterdam food :

Apparently Heineken beer taste much better in Amsterdam then what we get in the US , cant explain why and even the tour in Heineken brewery couldn’t explain but heard it from several people .

Had to try the famous fries, From Pulp Fiction ;”Jules: “Le Big Mac.” [laughs] What do they call a Whopper?Vincent: I dunno, I didn’t go into Burger King. But, you know what they put on French fries in Holland instead of ketchup?Jules: What?Vincent: Mayonnaise.Jules: God damn!Vincent: I seen them do it, man, they ****ing drown them in that shit.Jules: That’s some ****ed up shit.”  . Tried the fries in truffle mayo which was really good .

Famous pancake which you can find all over the city , I tried the bacon apple with syrup , it was amazing !!!

Fun city , amazing beer , great food , beautiful womens , will be back for sure !!!
